PASTA CHOWDER

Makes: 6 Servings

2 cups Small Shells, Ditalini or Stars, uncooked
3 tbsps margarine
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
4 cups milk
2 tbsps fresh parsley, chopped
1 1/2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese
2 ( 6 1/2 oz) cans minced clams, undrained
salt and pepper to taste

1. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
2. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, melt margarine.
3. Add onion and garlic.
4. Cook until tender.
5. Stir in remaining ingredients, except pasta.
6. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until soup is hot and cheese melts.
7. So not boil.
8. Stir in pasta.
9. Heat through.
